Motive for Action 01

When we are ANGRY

One day, a professor asked his students 'Why do we SHOUT instead of speak when we are ANGRY?' All the students thought for a while.  One answered 'Because we lost our cool. That's why we SHOUT.' Asked the professor again,  'But the person is just right next to you,  why can't we talk softly but have to SHOUT?' Everyone gave their opinions but none was accepted by the professor. Lastly explained by the professor.  'When we are ANGRY, our hearts drift apart.  To mask the DISTANCE we felt,  we instinctively SHOUT instead of speak  so the other party can hear us.' ‘But as we SHOUT, we get ANGRIER. And we felt we drift apart further.  So we SHOUT even louder...' 'It is the opposite when we are in love. Not only we do not shout,  we whisper into each other ears. Why?' 'This is because our hearts are very close, almost never apart. As our loves deepen, we reach a state of communicati...

Akhirnya kutemui jua instrumen mengukur "transfer of training"

LTSI Instrumen untuk mengukur pemindahan latihan Statement of problem •United States Training Industry •$134 BILLION spent in the U.S. in 2008 (ASTD) –Direct cost only; no trainee salaries/wages included •Only 10 – 30% results in changed job performance •But it gets worse….. •Opportunity Cost: –Research says return of 8:1 is reasonable for good training •Add salaries and wages of trainees •Thus, the real cost is over •Put This Into Perspective •U.S. government is spending this much to bail out all the banks and insurance companies •Imagine what the loss is WORLDWIDE? •How can we tell our CEO’s that we waste 70-90% of the money they invest? •Why can’t we do better? Questions •How much training transfers into job performance in –Your organization? –Your country? •Why are we content to accept such poor results? •Training is essential in the global knowledge economy •But, if we can’t deliver transfer, then training is wasted •The future of the training profession depends on solving ...

Difficult is to heal the wound... Easy is to forgive others Difficult is to ask for forgiveness Easy is to set rules. Difficult is to follow them... Easy is to dream every night. Difficult is to fight for a dream... Easy is to promise something to someone. Difficult is to fulfill that promise... Easy is to criticize others. Difficult is to improve oneself... Terimalah diri seadanya...

"Kamu dah lama kerja mendayung sampan?   "Hampir seumur hidup saya." Jawab nelayan itu ringkas....
